Due to the large numbers of boys available for selection at U15 level this season 2 boys’ teams were entered into the league, Beeston MK and Beeston DLB. At Christmas Beeston MP, our girls’ team, and Beeston MK were top of their respective tables with maximum points per match from high scoring victories . Despite losing both their matches Beeston DLB had played good competitive hockey and had gained valuable experience.
Post Christmas Beeston Girls (MP) and Beeston Boys (MK) continued to score maximum points winning their respective leagues with one match still to play. Beeston DLB drew against Ashfield then had a superb 2-1 victory against West Bridgford providing proof of their improvement this season. Beeston become the first club to win the double, the girls being particularly proud of their win as none of the team were selected to play for Notts at the midlands championships!
