We stopped entering this tournament several seasons ago due to the lack of organisation and true to form the event this year was postponed because the organisers forgot to book the venue! However the boys were keen to take part and Ian Ward was prepared to be their coach for the day. Beeston were unlucky to be drawn against previous champions Cannock and Repton in their opening matches which they narrowly lost 5-7 and 1-3 respectively. They then went on to beat Adams 12-0 and Newcastle 4-0. Guests are allowed to play in this event so our goalkeeper was Welsh international David Lewis and the rest of the team was John Procter, Will Torr, John Barr, Ollie Willars, Sam Ward and Sam Dixon. The boys thoroughly enjoyed the day and we will build on this performance next season.
