Umpiring, Coaching and Leadership Awards
Umpiring

Beeston Juniors have always been encouraged to obtain Umpiring Qualifications starting with the Foundation Umpires Award (formerly Preliminary Umpires Award).

Junior Umpires then go on to officiate at the Youth Games, County Minis, Active Sports Schools Festivals, City Primary Schools Sports Festivals and of course Beeston’s own Tournament. Junior Umpires can progress to the Midlands and National Mini Hockey championships as part of the Young Umpire Challenge for 15-20 year olds at the National Youth Hockey Festival held at Highfields each year.

Juniors who do not enjoy umpiring are encouraged to get involved with timekeeping and scoring. Younger Juniors are used as results runners at these events.
